Yesterday’s coffee like yesterdays news
Yesterday’s pain and yesterday’s blues
Swallowed up and spit back out
Leaves you with nothing but yesterdays doubt
And yesterdays news

Find me a cup to place my tears
Like so much change from a few good years
Added up and packaged right
So no one knows that I’m here in spite
Of yesterday’s news

And even though it hurts to drink
I look for more of what I think
Was yesterdays news

Yesterday’s weather like yesterday’s dreams
Get quickly forgotten after yesterday’s screams
And the world moves on in spite of the fact
Yesterday’s coffee is not coming back
